IMOLE FOUNDATION

AKA IMOLE SPORTS

Imole Foundation, also known as Imole Sports is a sports agency I founded in 2022 that represents international student athletes (mainly from Africa and Europe) and few American athletes, to assist in securing scholarships to further their post secondary education in American institutions through soccer and academic scholarships. With the help of my brother, Ibiyemi Apata Duro-Oyekanle, the agency was built with an Afro-centric goal of increasing the population of African student-athletes in men's and women's soccer in the country and providing more opportunities for them post graduation, be it in professional sports or in the corporate world.

SUCCESS THUS FAR

As of May 2025, the agency has successfully represented over 50 student athletes and saved over $500,000 in scholarships and have had students across schools in all divisions. Some notable alumni's are Mamadou Diarra (Florida Atlantic University), Karim Diao (University of Central Arkansas), Saul Tecle (UC Davis), Quadri Edun (Fort Lewis College), Kirhill Pakhomov (Marshall University), Mamadou Sow (Drake University). A few of the agency's players have been recognized and honored nationally and regionally as well, winning awards like United Soccer Coaches player of the year (Saul Tecle 2024), United Soccer Coaches top 30 players in the country (Karim Diao 2023), multiple all conference 1st & 2nd team, multiple team of the week entries and 4 All American (Kirhill Pakhomov, Juan Lagares, Saul Tecle, Filip Maksimovic).

my playing history

I grew up in Abuja, Nigeria - born and raised. While living there, I played at several soccer academies on the weekends and on my high school soccer team. I was called to the high school team when I was in primary 6. For those who are not familiar with the Nigerian school system, that is the equivalent of a 6th grader playing on the varsity team. When I got to Senior Secondary 1 (10th grade), I had been seen by a professional team called Family Worship Center FC, and signed to the senior team as a youth player. When I was in the 12th grade, I had got some interest from the Nigerian National under 17 team (which has the most U17 World Cups in world football) and I was invited to the camp and trained with them until I had to leave for my WAEC exams which was around the period of the 2019 world cup. Once I graduated I had signed a scholarship to come to the US to play soccer in college here in America. I didn't take the SAT or ACT exams so I had to accept a scholarship to play at a community college first. I graduated with my AA degree and transferred to NCAA Division 1 school University of Central Arkansas. I started this agency to help people navigate through the whole recruiting process. I went through delayed graduation, lies and deceit from coaches and academic issues that having an agency would have solved and along the way, I learnt a lot. I want to put all I learnt to good use and make sure others' experience is much easier and smoother than mine was, thats one way I'm giving back.
